Our Design Spotlight falls on Ivy Brown of Ivy & Ink – her sweet illustrations and humor will add a little sunshine into your day.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the positive response my illustrated designs have received. I’ve found that there is something about the hand-drawn approach that can be very nostalgic and endearing.
When I start a sketch I generally don’t know where it’s going to go or what sentiment it will carry. When drawing a bunch of mismatched socks or an olive on a toothpick, the illustrations begin to take on a character of their own. I’ve found that a clever play on words along with universally ordinary imagery can really tug at heart strings or make someone smile.
I’ve always been and will always be an illustrator–yet sharing my designs with others is what it’s really all about.
