Wanted New Cards: LGBTQ Name and Gender Change.

Legally changing your name is a big deal and can be an administrative nightmare.  If you have a marriage certificate it’s relatively easy peasy.  But for those in the LBGTQ and specifically trans community it’s not so, shall we say, straight forward.  When complete it is a big relief and significant step in the process of being recognized under the new name that likely has been used by friends and family long before the legal effort began.
