A Dash of Inspiration, A Cup of Creativity by Doreen

2015 Challenge Teaser

A New Year is an opportunity to try something new and that’s exactly what I’ll be doing for the Dash of Inspiration blog postings in 2015 – something fresh to inspire all of you to push the boundaries of your creativity and to awaken your imagination.

The first Monday of every Month (starting on January 5, 2015) I will be announcing a new Design Challenge. These challenges will be very different from what we’ve done in the past, here’s why …

  • Each new challenge will ask you to create a NEW card which will express the theme and specifics spelled out in the challenge (don’t worry fast track will be allowed for your submission to each challenge).
  • Voting of entries will be done by a panel of Judges, selected by Mindy, to represent GCU. No popularity voting for these challenges. These ‘competitions’ will be handled much more like a true Juried Art Competition – only they are not open to the public, only to GCU artists.
  • Each month’s challenge winner will receive some really great exposure and promotion by GCU.

Over the past 3-years, Corrie, myself, and a handful of guest artists have offered the GCU artist community a vast array of fabulous tips, tutorials, and freebies – all in the hopes of inspiring you to learn something new, expand your skill set and step outside of your artistic comfort zone. Don’t worry, these offerings will continue!

These challenges are a way for you to push your imagination to think outside the box, to expand your skills so you grow as an artist, and to have an opportunity to WOW team GCU so they will want to promote you, your winning card and your store!

I hope you tune in and participate, it’s going to be great fun!
