Nuts & Bolts – Custom Card Requests, Be Holiday Ready

Custom design requests provide a wonderful opportunity to delight a shopper!  Some requests are a simple color or word change while others are more involved resulting in a new design altogether.

During the holiday season, shoppers are understandably choosy with their holiday card choices so GCU sees many custom requests during this time of year.  Holiday card sales are starting to round out but we’re still seeing custom design requests.

A shopper’s request for GCU artist, Ramelle Richardson:
Instead of Happy New Year on the top can you print “Merry Christmas”
Before:
After:
Thank you, Ramelle, for a quick and spot on design for the shopper.

Planning some downtime over the holidays or too busy to accept custom requests? Be sure to set shoppers expectations by having your Custom Request setting and message accurately reflect your availability.

Setting and message changes are via the Global Preferences page.

Please see this related posting for more about Custom Requests.

See this prior Custom Card Requests, Holiday Ready post for more tips.

TIPS
* There can be up to a 24 hour delay in your updated message displaying on the site.

* Since there are often email deliver-ability issues it is wise to check the Manage Custom Request tool periodically to make sure you have not overlooked any requests.

The difference is made in the details!
