Wanted New Cards: Daughter Birthday Motorcycle

August 17, 2023

Wanted Cards – Daughter Birthday Motorcycle

Girls ride bikes too!  Design some motorcycle inspired Birthday cards for females – specifically daughter, mother, niece, aunt, sister, and grandma.

They should go here accordingly:

Birthday >> For Family Relation Specific >>

Daughter  cid#8191

Mother  cid#6855

Niece  cid#8188

Aunt  cid#8788

Sister  cid#7665

Grandma  cid#6259

Please consider designing cards with motorcycles keeping in mind that all images and meta-data must be generic or abstract in nature:

NOTE: vehicle manufacturers have protectable trade dress rights in the distinctive shapes of their vehicles. The unique exterior design and shape of the vehicle is their `mark’ or `trade dress’ which distinguish the vehicle’s exterior shape not simply as distinctively attractive designs, but as the Manufacturer’s creations. This “trade dress” right bars the use of any silhouette, picture, caricature, or reproduction of the shape or appearance of the Manufacturer’s vehicle.

Nuts & Bolts: Design Change “Do Not Purchase”

August 11, 2023

Nuts & Bolts – Design Change “Do Not Purchase”

We sometimes see shoppers purchase a card of which they’ve sent a design change request for BEFORE the new card has been created. Apparently they think that the artist will change the card in their cart / they’ve purchased.

Simply reply to the shopper sharing not to purchase until the new card is ready.

Consider using this statement in your replies to such requests:

“I will be creating a new card for you. Please do not purchase the original card as I will be sending you a link to your new card.”

Nuts & Bolts: Update Winter Holiday YEAR specific cards

August 4, 2023

Nuts & Bolts – Update Winter Holiday YEAR specific cards

Get a head start on updating holiday cards!  Do you offer Year Specific designs? Be sure not to miss out on sales or worse, have your card taken offline because you’ve neglected to update it for the new year.

image1

image2

Not only should images be updated but also card titles, keywords and artist notes. This even applies to custom front designs to make them more marketable and avoid shopper errors.

Please add this to your to do list and begin to update cards while you have time in the summer season.

Christmas cards should reflect the current year (2023) and New Year cards should reflect the coming or new year (2024). Please take the time now to update your designs before 9/1. After 9/1, GCU will take any outdated cards offline.

TIP: A quick way to pinpoint the bulk of your related cards is to search your storefront by entering in the search box “<holiday name year>” ie: “christmas 2022”, “new year 2023”.

Wanted New Cards: 1st Day of Pre-K

August 3, 2023

Wanted Cards – 1st Day of Pre-K

With a difference worth noting, Pre-K is not the same as preschool.

Pre-school and Pre-K (pre-kindergarten) are similar, but not the same. Pre-school refers to a program that teaches the basics for children ages three to five. Pre-K focuses on kindergarten readiness for children who will be starting kindergarten within the next year.
