Nuts & Bolts – Update Chinese New Year YEAR of the HORSE

Chinese New Year in 2027 comes early and will be the Year of the Goat (beginning January 29th), so we bid farewell to 2026’s Year of the Horse for 12 more years until 2038.

Please update your 2026 Year of the Horse cards to reflect 2038.  After 11/01/26, GCU will take any outdated cards offline.

Be sure to review the Chinese New Year specific rules on Change or New Submission.

Not only should images be updated but also card titles, keywords and artist notes.  This even applies to custom front designs to make them more marketable and avoid shopper errors.

Also consider creating new cards for 2027’s Year of the Goat / Ram / Sheep: – many of the subcategories are in need of cards:

NOTE: The Year of the Goat is the same as the Year of the Ram and the Year of the Sheep in the Chinese zodiac. All three terms refer to the same zodiac sign.

The difference is made in the details!
