Nuts & Bolts – Dedicate Yourself to the Details VII

 

It is often the little details that escape the artist’s eye. It is always a good idea to step away from a design that you have been meticulously working on or ask a housemate to give it a once over.  The review team is certainly a fresh set of eyes and often catches tiny fixes or areas of improvement.  GCU is grateful for artists open to work with the reviewers on minor adjustments that make a big difference.

This is a lovely image. A nit pick detail that we would for you to take another look at is the large leaf that overlays the boy on the left. It does not seem the best placement. Thank you for any consideration.

Any job or industry in which client relations and networking are paramount to success requires getting creative with communications.

 

The real estate industry is one such market.  It is just as important for real estate agents to stay in touch with their past clients as it is to get in touch with potentially new clients.  GCU has a well rounded offering for real estate agents to do so on holidays, birthdays, thank you, house anniversary, etc.

 

Please consider creating new cards for a real estate agent’s introduction to potential new clients. The trick is to get creative on the message so it doesn’t come across as a impersonal sales pitch.

Rainbow Connection: Timeless Teal

Teal is a medium blue-green color, similar to cyan. Its name comes from that of a bird—the common teal —which presents a similarly colored stripe on its head. It can be created by mixing blue into a green base, or deepened as needed with black or gray. The complementary color of teal is maroon.

When creating cards for a specific holiday, profession, religion, nationality, tradition, etc., unless you are an expert, it’s important to do a little research and make sure you’re using the correct symbols, imagery and terminology.

 

One example that we’ve covered before is for St. Patrick’s Day.  It is commonly incorrectly referred to as St. Patty’s Day (vs St. Paddy’s Day) and incorrectly used with the imagery of a four-leaf clover (vs a shamrock).  See here in Corrections for St. Patrick’s Day.

In the top ten of American’s greatest fears is #7 Aviophobia, the fear of flying.  At any age, someone’s very first flight can be filled with apprehension, curiosity, excitement. and yes, possibly … white-knuckled fear.
