Nuts & Bolts – 1Q2021 Earnings & 4/1 Included
 

It’s pay day!  The 1st quarter payments for 2021 are being processed reflecting commissions earned from 1/01/21 – 4/1/21*.  Part of this process is reconciling those stores who have met the quarterly threshold.  The checks are scheduled to be in the mail or PayPal payments made by Friday, 4/30/21. 

 
NOTE, the curve balls keep on coming!  No fooling, April 1st got us and snuck into the payment for the 1st quarter.  2Q earnings will start with 4/2/21 vs 4/1/21.

 
If the sales from this single day (4/1/21) make you fall short of the new 2Q threshold please contact us and we will make the adjustment accordingly.

Nothing tops becoming a grandparent except perhaps becoming a great grandparent.  We could use more cards for “Becoming a Great Grandpa / Grandfather”.   We have many cards for great grandmas but not so many for great grandpas.

Nuts & Bolts – Fortify Meta-data for Flowers & Colors

We have talked a lot about fortifying your cards’ meta-data. In simple words, be specific. The more specific terms you use in your card title, keywords, and Artist’s Notes that apply to your card the more accurate shopping experience for GCU shoppers. The end result? A shopper finding their perfect card!

In light of April’s Design Challenge theme, Roses, be sure to be specific in your meta-data to help shoppers find their favorite rose. Many rose lovers have a favorite color. Many rose colors have a meaning or significance that may be important to the shopper and meaningful to the occasion.  Here is one such guide.

Similar to other subject matter like dog breeds, rose fans may also be partial to a type or variety of rose. So if you know what kind it is, include that in your meta-data as well.  Different Rose Types.

Be intentional in the color roses you choose for your cards’ occasions and be intentional in the terms you use to describe them in your meta-data.

The difference is in the details.

The engagement is just the beginning!  So much to celebrate and so many things to explore and decide on to plan the perfect wedding.  For the bride, one thing at the top of the list is her wedding dress.  It can be like hunting for a needle in a haystack, albeit a white, lacy, and sparkling one!
 
When the decision is made and the perfect dress has been found it can be cause for great jubilation and maybe even a collective sign of relief!
 
Consider creating cards to congratulate the bride to be for finding her dream dress, and as many say, saying yes to the dress!
